Will The Blogging Bubble Burst In 2007

The Blog Squad posted an entry with some predictions for the blogosphere in 2007. The predictions they cite come from the heavy hitting consultants over at Gartner who predict that the number of blogs will level off at 100-million in 2007. Is that all?!?

I suppose It makes sense. We seem to be coming into a time when the number of new blogs entering the blogosphere is balancing the attrition rate.

As a relative newcomer to the blogging world – Evolving Times will celebrate it’s one-year anniversary in January – I’m amazed at how many blogs I have witness burst onto the blogging scene with a bang only to fade away without so much as a whimper a few months (or weeks) later.

Evolving Times is here to stay. What it will look like one-year from now, I can’t say. But that’s part of the fun and excitement about blogging; it’s an ever-evolving process. Everything changes as new ideas and technologies are introduced.

Abraham-Hicks often says that those of us studying and applying the Law of Attraction to our lives are living on “the leading edge of thought.”

Well, those of us playing in the blogosphere are truly pushing the envelope of that leading edge. We are making this up as we go. The power of our collective vision is fueling the accelerating growth of this new realm. And I, for one, am having one heck of a great time playing!

So here are some questions for you other bloggers out there:

Do you plan to be one of those 100-million blogs in Gartner’s prediction? If so, what will you do in 2007 to stand out from the crowd? How will you and your blog evolve in 2007?

Let me know.

I’m with you and I am in it for the long haul! I have found blogging to be a great way to put good content out there, but to also be able to “let my hair down”, as it were, and not have to be quite as official as with article writing.

As far as blogging leveling off, I am okay with that. I would rather only see people who are going to make a consistent effort even start a blog up to begin with.

In 2007 my goal with my blog as well as my website are to form them into even more powerful informational resources, and to increase my visitors exponentially so that I can assist and work with even more people.

Looking forward to sharing the Blogosphere with you in 2007!

Glad that you’ll be around in 2007. “Letting your hair down” is a great way of putting it. I look forward to checking in with you again next December and comparing notes.
        Happy holidays.
