Supercharge Simpleology With Segment Intending

I recently wrote about the Law of Attraction process of Segment Intending. This is one of the most powerful tools in your LoA toolbox. Since writing that post I have been integrating the process of Segment Intending with Simpleology. The combination is incredible.

Alone, Simpleology is an unbeatable system for targeting and tracking your intentions. But when Segment Intending is included, the combination truly rocks!

If you do not have not tried Simpleology yet, or if you used the paper version before and have not yet seen the Simpleology Desktop Cockpit, go sign up for your free account now and then come back and read the rest of this article.

Segment Intending is the process of setting clear intentions for unique segments of your day. For example, you might set an intention to have a positive, efficient staff meeting that starts and ends right on time. Then you might set an intention to have an uninterrupted hour at your desk to finish a project.

Each time you change from one segment to a new segment, you reset your intention and see and feel yourself successfully achieving your intention for that segment.

One of the biggest problems is having an ongoing awareness of when you are moving from one segment to the next.

Simpleology makes it obvious when you are moving from one segment to a new one. Each time you check off an item from your Daily Targets, and move to the next item, you are moving into a new segment.

So each time you check off an item, instead of immediately jumping to the next item, take 30-seconds to reset your intention for the new item, visualize yourself completing the item, and create the feeling of accomplishment in your body. Use this intention, vision and feeling state to charge your progress through each task – Segment – on your daily targets.

Try it for a few days and come back to let us know how combining Simpleology with Segment Intending has impacted your productivity.

        Hi Ed,

I just thought I’d let you know that I started doing this when I first read this post… it’s awesome! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’m always looking for ways to integrate different personal development methods with each other, and this works beautifully. I’m so much more focused when I start each of my daily targets with a conscious intention. And it makes me laugh when I think about what Mark Joyner would think about using the advice of a spiritual channeler along with Simpleology… 🙂

Hi Lyman. Great. I’m glad it’s helped. For me this combination has been incredibly powerful.

I’m not sure what Mark would think. But I have a feeling that he wouldn’t care where the information comes from if it works!

I think you’re right about that, Ed. If it works… do it! Like it says in the new Simpleology book, it’s only insanity if you keep doing it when it doesn’t work. 🙂
