        Ed —

Thank you for bringing me into the fold. Appreciate the kudos on the material, and apologize for not picking up on the specific topic.

Kind of neat to see your avatar on my MyBlogLog widget on my site, too.

        Like to mention —

I made reference to the “obstacle” that website posed in my purchasing The Secret. I hope that didn’t seem overly critical, but I tend to fall in the camp that feels that wisdom should be shared in an unconditional fashion. (I’m sure that thought could be the start of a long discussion right there … )

        Again, pleased to be aboard.

        All the best,

        Hi Daniel.

Glad to included you! I hear you about the “wisdom should be shared in an unconditional fashion.” And, at the same time, the system through which we express our inherent abundance involves the exchange of money. So, in my opinion, there needs to be a balance between the open, unconditional sharing and the willingness, and ability to express abundance through the attraction of wealth.

We mostly see people on either end of that spectrum: They are either far too focused on the money/wealth bit, or they are far too enmeshed in the belief that you’re not “supposed” to make money for sharing wisdom.

I don’t begrudge the folks from the Secret making a ton of money. Think of all the good they have brought to this world!

        Thanks again for your entry!

        Ed —

        Appreciate you comments.

I don’t begrudge the makers of The Secret their return on the work, not at all. Because of its reasonable price, it must be the most accessible, effective packaging of this wisdom yet. What I suspect is there is an infrastructure that has come into place around these folks that is focused exclusively on the money.

The most intelligent discussion I’ve run across so far on the issue of “wealth for service” was an article you’ve probably run across, “Lightworker Syndrome” by Steve Pavlina, at:

Intellectually, his points make perfect sense. But I find myself torn emotionally. I’ll resolve this at some point, I’m sure.

        All the best,

      Got something to say?
