I’ve Joined The I-Follow Movement

It’s official. I just added my new Dofollow plugin and I’m officially part of the I-Follow movement. This will have no impact on you if you do not have a blog. But, if you do have one, it means that the comments you leave here at Evolving Times will now be “followed” by the search engine spiders.

Now, this does not mean it’s open season here at ET for spam comments. Comment moderation remains on and I will be deleting comments that are obviously commercial or otherwise spammy.

Make a positive contribution to the conversation here and not only will your comment get posted, but you will see other readers linking to your blog to see what you’re up to!

Thanks to Dawud for providing the ongoing encouragement to ditch the no-follow tag.

I hadn’t heard of the plugin, but I’m going to go install it. I do have the annoying spammer now and then, but for the most part I’ve stayed on top of them.

I think it’s really very valuable to allow searches to crawl out from your site. Not only does that bring people to relevant content, but also like (or not) minded individuals.

The whole point of commenting is to promote discussion. Why not help promote those discussing?

Randa: You’re very welcome. Thank you for creating the badges and adding to the momentum of this movement!

Alex: You’ve got it. I’m just sorry that I didn’t get on this train earlier!

      Got something to say?
