So Many Contests, So Little Time

Well it’s my birthday today and it feels a bit strange to be working. But since my gift to myself is the 4-day branding seminar with BrandU that begins tomorrow in LA, today is a get things done kind of a day. (I’ll be sure to post a photo of my new tattoo!) 😉

But I must say that, in addition to the “usual suspects” – mom, sis, etc. – I have been pleasantly surprised with a couple of hilarious ecards from totally unexpected sources, including my new blogging bud Jeannette at Law of Attraction Playground, as well as calls from a couple of equally unexpected friends. It’s brought a fun and exciting sense of newness and change to this somewhat odd birthday.

And while I’m on the subject of birthdays, let’s talk about gifts for a moment. As you know, the Law of Attraction Carnival contest is now officially over. I’m working my way through the list, connecting winners with contributors and rounding up addresses to send out the prizes that I’ve provided. So if you’re a winner, keep your eyes on your inbox or your mailbox!

And now that it’s over, there are a couple of amazing contests stepping in to fill the void! (I’m sure there are more, but these two are especially interesting to me).

First, Aaron Potts at Today is That Day has a great contest going to promote his newly redesigned Personal Development Partners site. Without a doubt I would be helping him promote PDP even without a contest. But the fact that he’s got a couple of ipods loaded up with some great personal development recordings definitely sweetens the pot!

So go check out Personal Development Partners and enter to win one of the great prizes.

I’ll definitely be reminding you about Aaron’s contest and PDP.

The next contest is a bit different but equally impressive. Over at David Airey’s Graphic Design blog there is a prize package worth over $4000! It’s truly impressive with a grand prize that includes a new design from David, custom wordpress theme from Nate Whitehill, a complete advertising plan from Maki at Dosh Dosh and more. Other prizes come from Randa Clay, Ben Yoskovitz, Easton Ellsworth and Andy Beard.

There are far too many to list. So you’ll want to go check it out for yourself!

And yes, this post does mean I’m entered in both of them! And if I were you I’d head over to Today is That Day and David Airey’s design blog right now!

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot, you still can win a complete Simpleology Package here.

[Update] Alex Shalman just let me know that he’s also giving away an ipod at his practical personal development blog. You can enter his personal development contest here.

And Wendy Piersall just post some info about a cool b5 Media contest for new businesses.

Happy Birthday, Ed! One nice thing about working for the government, I get my birthday off. 🙂

Thanks Rick. I usually get my birthday off. But since I’m taking off the rest of the week – even though it’s work related – I’ve got to get some stuff done. Probably shouldn’t even be responding to comments! 😉

Alex. Sounds great. I’ll update the post with a link to your contest!

        Ed,

Happy Birthday!! I made a mental note to shoot you a message on your birthday, but with the PDP contest going on, I’m multi-tasking like crazy.

I’m glad that you got to get some things taken care of before your trip out of town. I’m sure you’re going to have loads of fun, and you’ll come back loaded down with tons of great info.

Much obliged for letting people know about the contest for Personal Development Partners! I have been inspired by many people to keep plugging more and more and more value into the site, and I’ve got some very cool things lined up.

Tons of fun, and loads of benefits, so it’s good for everyone. I appreciate your support, Ed, and again – Happy Birthday!

Happy Belated Birthday, Ed! Getting your posts by feedburner means I’m always a little behind, lol. Hope your having a great time getting branded!

Thanks everyone for the good wishes.

The first day down here at the branding seminar has been full and fruitful and full of fruit. 😉 Really, there was a lot of fruit at the breakfast buffet!

      Got something to say?
