The 3 Most Powerful Things You Can Do To Make Customers Choose You

[I’m very excited to have this guest post by Kim Castle of BrandU. As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ll be in LA with Kim and her partner Vito Montone later this month getting branded. As you’ll see from this article, the branding process can be a powerful tool in your Law of Attraction Toolbox!]

The Law of Attraction in Action: The 3 Most Powerful Things You Can Do To Make Customers Choose You

by Kim Castle. BrandU®

There’s a growing hubbub on everyone’s lips these days touting a new idea that we, as humans, actually have the ability to create whatever we want in our lives—including our business.

People from all walks of life from hairdressers to garbage men, from CEO’s to homemakers, from morning news hosts to Oprah are excited about this new found possibility—a possibility called the “law of attraction”—made popular by the movie “The Secret.”

And while this “secret” is not so new and is a hard-wired instinct in every entrepreneur, the true power of this principle has gotten lost in its…magic.

The achievable results from the “law of attraction” can be easily diminished simply because it’s easier to focus on the magic rather than take the actual steps to put the ‘law of attraction” into action.

The culprit at the bottom of this misunderstanding is the atrophy of three vital muscles. Sadly, these are the most important ones you need as entrepreneur.

Who’s Really Driving?

Break down the meaning of the ‘law of attraction’ and you’ll find:

law n
· a statement of a scientific fact or phenomenon that is invariable under given conditions

attraction n
· the power of drawing things near

Looking at the complete definition of ‘law’ you will find the words ‘given conditions.’ This is where the challenge for most people begins.

Where do these given conditions come from? Who gives them?

If you follow the “Macbeth” school of thought, it’s fate, or karma, or whatever name you affix to a force outside you that has set up a pre-determined path for your life of which you are just a pawn.

If this is your belief, and this pre-arranged framework is responsible for creating the ‘given conditions’ then you might as well stop reading this now and enjoy the ride that you are on. But be sure to keep your hands inside the car at all times.

You may one of the fortunate set who has the ability to be in command of their life simply because they subscribe to the philosophy that they are the one who’s driving—who is setting the conditions.

If you believe this, then congratulations, you’re 25% of the way there.

The Other Seventy-five Percent

You’ve actually got to do something with that innate power to create. It’s not enough just to know you can, you’ve got to do something with it. And here’s where it gets really tricky. Do exactly…what?!

If you are the one giving the conditions, and you have the power to draw objects near, you’ve got to decide with great specificity…what those “conditions” are and what do you want to “draw” near.

When it comes to putting the ‘law of attraction’ to work for you in your business you’ve got to exercise the following muscles:

clarity n
· the quality of being clearly expressed

choice n
· the decision to choose one course of action in preference to others

action n
· the process of doing something in order to achieve a purpose

The beautiful puzzle to this law, as with any process, is that by putting them into a certain order, you will always get a certain result—100% percent of the time. First, the actual activity of seeking extreme clarity on your product or service opens the channel to the source of everything and, second, the process of making the choices creates path of the response. And, third, what you want to attract, customers, is unleashed in your direction by the actions specifically taken based on that clarity and your choices.

“Acting in a certain way” is the founding principle that Wallace Wattles wrote about in the 1920’s in his seminal book, “The Science of Getting Rich,” which has changed so many people’s lives—the certain way is defined by the clarity and your choices.

It’s the exact principle that is at the root of the processes we share with entrepreneurs to create their business as a brand.

A Formula to Attract By

It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects; therefore, any one who fixes their attention on a specific outcome, attaches their unwavering belief to the outcome, and takes constant action on that outcome will in fact create that outcome.

It’s time to stop believing in the magic and start creating it—especially when it comes to creating your business success.

You do that by:

· Believing you’re in charge,
· Getting extremely clear on what your business is,
· Making the choice of why customers should be attracted,
· Taking the exact action to make it happen.

That’s how you put the “law of attraction” to work for you in your business…you work ‘it.’

I can’t give you the belief. But if you want help with the other three…you know where to find me.

Great article, it also helps to appeal to each individual’s primal needs and dislikes. Fear, love, etc.

        An example:
“Buy this, think of your children!”
