Watch Out: My Inner Geek is Coming Out

I’ve been having a blast indulging my inner geek lately!

It’s one of those things I just can’t deny. Every time I try to get too spiritual and serious, things seem to jump up at me and bite me in the butt. What’s up with that?

It’s likely one of those annoying lessons in self-acceptance! You know, the ones where you just have to accept that you are who you are!

So, rather than continuing to resist my geekiness,  I’ve finally decided to embrace it, accept the messages from the universe, and start offering up my web development and internet marketing knowledge to help other Conscious Business Owners thrive online.

And that’s what I’ve done with the WordPress Launchpad Program. Today was the last day of the first round. And the entire 6-weeks have been a blast.

Here’s what one participant wrote:

Ed is a fabulous teacher. The WordPress Launchpad Program was clear, concise, and really easy to navigate. He presents things in bite sized pieces that are easy to digest, and build in a natural, comprehensive way. The support system he has created for it, with workbooks, blog postings, and Q & A, adds to the value immensely and adds to the fun and group learning process.

It’s just a thrill to be able to create immediately, with confidence and watch others do the same. Ed is incredibly present and responsive…generous almost to a fault! This is not a job for him. It’s a passion.

The value is extraordinary and I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to build an excellent, kick ass website/blog that isn’t just pretty, but actually does something! Thank you so much Ed!.

Rachel Flower Sensoma

And why am I telling you this? Well I’m glad you asked. It’s because I’ve got the next round of the program beginning on May 13th. And if you register before May 1st, you’ll save $200. So I wanted to make sure I told you about this now so I won’t hear any whining after May 1st!

If you’re a conscious business owner and you don’t yet have a website – or if you have a website that is just sitting there because you don’t know what to do with it – you just might want to join the next round of the WordPress Launchpad Program.

At the end of this six week course you’ll have a fully functional website up and running and have the knowledge and tools needed to update it yourself.

To find out more about the WordPress Launchpad Progam and how it can help your Conscious Business thrive online, visit Mystic Marketing.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, this crazy economic “crisis” that all the media pundits tell us that we’re in, makes this absolutely the best time to launch a website!

When you do, you’ll have a professional, effective website up and running in just 6-weeks. You’ll know how to update and maintain the site yourself. And you’ll have the basic knowledge needed to drive traffic to your site.

So if you’re ready to get your business online, or upgrade your existing web presence, go check out the WordPress Launchpad Program and take advantage of this virtually turnkey opportunity.

And, because of the backend work that I do to setup the servers and wordpress software and … oh right, you don’t have to worry about any of that, becaue I do it all… But because I do it all, I’ve got to keep this class small. And that’s another reason to get registered for this program now.

Are You Ready To Run Your Car On Water?

There’s been much talk about H20 powered vehicles recently. A few months ago, Mark Joyner, the creator of Simpleology, went and investigated a company in England that claimed to be able to run a diesel engine on 50% water.

Now, there’s a company in Japan that claims to be able to run a car on water alone!

Too good to be true?

Look at it this way, back when Henry Ford was attempting to mass produce automobiles most people said it was impossible. What did Ford say?

“If you think you can or you think you can’t, either way, you’re right!”

I don’t know about you, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this technology. And who knows, in a few years we may be driving around in Water-Powered cars!

SleepTracker Pro Watch Review and Recommendation

SleepTracker Pro

Have you ever noticed that some mornings, when the alarm goes off, you’re wide awake and ready to jump out of bed and start your day, and other mornings… well, you just aren’t?

Well you probably know that during the night you cycle through different sleep stages from light, almost awake sleep, through the dreaming state, down into deep, dreamless sleep and back up again. You move through this cycle several times each night.

On the mornings when you don’t have to set your alarm and can wake up whenever you want, you naturally arise when you’re in one of those light, almost awake stages of sleep.

However, on the mornings when you have to be up at a certain time, your alarm clock does not know where you are in the cycle and wakes you up at the time you have set, regardless of where you are in your sleep cycle.

If the alarm happens to go off when you’re in a light part of the cycle, great! But if it goes off when you’re in a deep, dreamless sleep state, you are NOT going to feel like getting up!

Enter the SleepTracker Pro Watch.

I’ve been using this cool little device for about 2-months now, and I can tell you that it definitely works!

The theory behind Sleeptracker is simple but effective: It tracks your movements during the night in order to find the best time to wake you in the morning. Here’s what their website says:

SLEEPTRACKER® continuously monitors signals from your body that indicate whether you are asleep or awake. Because you wear SLEEPTRACKER® on your wrist like a watch, its internal sensors can detect even the most subtle physical signals from your body. SLEEPTRACKER® finds your best waking moments, so that waking up has never been easier.

To use the SleepTracker, you set the alarm for the latest time you want to wake up. Then you set a Window during which the SleepTracker will watch for a moment when you are in a light phase of your sleep cycle.
For instance, if I need to be up by 6:00am, I’ll set the alarm for 6:00 and the Alarm Window for 30-minutes. Then, at some point between 5:30am and 6:00am when the Sleeptracker senses that I am close to being awake, the alarm will go off.

Yes, that means that on some mornings, I’ll be up 30-minutes earlier than I “need” to. But because I’m waking up during one of the light sleep state, it’s much easier to get up.

Again, this is from the Sleeptracker website:

By monitoring your sleep cycles for optimal waking moments during the preset ALARM WINDOW, SLEEPTRACKER® finds those almost awake-moments and gently wakes you when you’re most alert. The result? You wake up refreshed instead of groggy. Waking up has never been easier.

Does it work?

In my experience, yes!

Now keep in mind that I’m a morning person, so in general it’s fairly easy for me to wake up. However, since becoming an early riser, there have definitely been mornings when the alarm going off at 5:00am caught me in one of the deep stages of sleep.

Since using the Sleep Tracker those mornings have been very rare. In fact, in the 2-months that I have been using SleepTracker there have only been 2 mornings when the alarm went off at the end of my Alarm Window and caught me in a deep sleep. And each of those mornings were after I had gone to bed much too late.

Usually, the alarm goes off when I am already becoming aware that it is time to get up. And, in fact, there have been quite a few mornings when I have been lying in bed thinking, “Hmm, if this was in my Alarm Window the SleepTracker would be going off right now,” just as the alarm went off!

Other Features:

Vibrating Alarm:

The SleepTracker includes a vibrate alarm which is great if you’re an early riser sharing a bed with a not-so-early riser! I also find that the vibrating alarm wakes me a bit more gently than the audible alarm.

Sleep Data Collection:

Another cool feature of the SleepTracker Pro is its ability to store the data from each of your night’s sleep. (Note that the standard version does not store and upload data). There is a USB cable and software included that allows you to upload your sleep data to a computer and track the quality of your sleep over time. This allows you to track what factors influence your sleep patterns both positively and negatively.

I used the data tracking feature for about 2-weeks and found it interesting. But for me it was not interesting enough to continue uploading the data each morning. Sleeptracker only stores one-night’s worth of data, so if you want to track your sleep patterns you need to upload the data every day.

Note to SleepTracker: If the watch stored more than one-night’s data I would be much more likely to use and benefit from this feature.

I do, however, check my data manually each morning. You can view your sleep data on the Sleeptracker with a view button pushes. And even without the graphs I have benefited from this information.

Nitpicky Stuff:

Other than a desire to have the watch store a week’s worth of sleep data, I have nothing negative to say about the functionality of the Sleeptracker.

The only area I have a little quibble with is the aesthetics of the watch. It’s just not a watch I would choose to wear on a daily basis. This would be less of a problem if they expanded the data storage capacity – then I would only need to bring it into the office once a week. But when I was tracking my sleep data I had to wear – or bring – the watch into my office every day.

SleepTrack WatchAnd I will say that the Sleeptracker is definitely a conversation starter!

Interestingly, the SleepTracker Standard, which does not allow you to Download Sleep Data to PC looks more like a “normal.”

Bottom Line:

If you’re not a morning person and you have a hard time getting up in the morning, the SleepTracker can help get your mornings off to a better start. And that means that your entire day will be better!

After all, the way you feel when you first wake up often determines the tone of your entire day. The SleepTracker can wake you up gently and allow you to ease your way into the morning. No more jarring alarms and multiple snooze button cycles!

If you’re already a morning person and want your mornings to be even more graceful, the SleepTracker can help you too.

I wear SleepTracker every night, with the alarm set for 5:30am and the Alarm Window set for 30-minutes. Even on Sundays when I let myself sleep in I still let the SleepTracker wake me up and then meditate or go back to sleep if I feel like it.

Product Details:

Price: Sleeptracker Pro – $179; SleepTracker Standard – $149

Warranty: 1-year

Guarantee: 30-day unconditional money back guarantee.

Where to Buy:

You can purchase the SleepTracker Pro or Standard directly from the manufacturer.

Right now they’re offering free shipping (not sure if that will last). You can also have the Sleeptracker giftwrapped for an extra $4.99. And this would definitely be a great gift for anyone you know who could use a little help getting up on the RIGHT side of the bed!

Contact Form and Subscribe to Comments Have Not Been Working

First, the bad news. I discovered last week that the contact form as well as the Subscribe to Comments plugin here at Evolving Times were not working. And they have not been working since I launched the site redesign back in early December.

So… if you’ve submitted a comment and wondered if there’s been a response, there probably has been.

And… if you sent me an email using the contact form, and have been holding your breath awaiting my reply, you’re going to be waiting a quite a bit longer because I did not receive it!

Now, the good news. The contact form and subscribe to comments plugin are both working now! So if you tried to contact me in the past month or so, please try again. And if you subscribed to a comment thread, you should start seeing updates now.

And I apologize for any confusion or frustration this has caused.

Is Mark Joyner Really A Blogging Moron?

I highly doubt it. But don’t tell him that, because as long as he thinks he’s a blogging moron, he’s giving away a multi-media course on blogging for free!

If you’ve been through Simpleology 101 (another free course and incredible time/task management system) or any of his other courses, you know that Mark puts out high-value courses. And I’m sure that this blogging class will live up to Mark’s high standards.

“But haven’t you checked out this blogging course, Ed?”

Not yet. I haven’t seen the course yet, because in order to get it for free, there’s one little catch… you’ve got to blog about it. And that’s what I’m doing right now. To get free access to the course, you just have to cut and paste a little piece of html from the signup page. It will look like this on your blog:

I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.

And now that I’ve posted it here I’m definitely going to go check it out! And I really will let you know what I think. But in the meantime, if you’re a blogger and interested in what I’m sure is going to be a great blogging course, go snag it while it’s still free.

You can get it here.

And please, don’t tell Mark that he’s NOT a blogging moron!

I’ve Joined The I-Follow Movement

It’s official. I just added my new Dofollow plugin and I’m officially part of the I-Follow movement. This will have no impact on you if you do not have a blog. But, if you do have one, it means that the comments you leave here at Evolving Times will now be “followed” by the search engine spiders.

Now, this does not mean it’s open season here at ET for spam comments. Comment moderation remains on and I will be deleting comments that are obviously commercial or otherwise spammy.

Make a positive contribution to the conversation here and not only will your comment get posted, but you will see other readers linking to your blog to see what you’re up to!

Thanks to Dawud for providing the ongoing encouragement to ditch the no-follow tag.

Big Eyes Small Stomach or A New Schedule For Law Of Attraction Live Radio Show

You’ve heard of biting off more than you can chew and eyes too big for your stomach, right? For most of my life I’ve been a big fan of biting off far more than I can chew! And as I continue to get older and, hopefully, wiser, I’m realizing that it’s really not about how much you do, it’s about how you do what you do.

Wasn’t it Mother Theresa who said something like, “It’s not about doing great things, but doing small things with great love?”

Well, it’s become very clear to me that if I want to walk my talk and have some time to enjoy other areas of my life – aside from my work which I absolutely DO love – that I need to start being very clear about what I am saying “yes” to.

With all of the amazing technology that is available and constantly evolving, it is far too easy to get caught up in the “I want to do it all,” syndrome. And I’m more interested in contracting the “I want to do all that I do with great love” syndrome!

So, all of that is a long-winded way of saying that I am changing the schedule for the Law of Attraction Live Radio Show.

First, instead of being on Mondays, it will now be on Tuesdays from 11:30 – 12:30 (pacific time). There were just too many holidays on Monday!

And second, the show will be broadcast twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month. That provides a nice continuity with the Law of Attraction Carnival which comes out on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

I think this will provide you with a nice, varied assortment of Law of Attraction resources throughout the month. And it’s a schedule that I can commit to without making myself crazy. That’s important!

You’ll always be able to access the Law of Attraction Live show archives at Blogtalkradio. And, as always, you can read all of the back issues of the Law of Attraction Carnival on the Law of Attraction Homepage.

I hope to have you join me for the next Law of Attraction Live radio show which will be on Tuesday, June 19th.

Pre-release Special On My New Brainwave Entrainment CD

If you’ve been an Evolving Times reader for a while, you know that I’m a big fan of the Holosync Solution.  You can read about my experience with Holosync here, here, and here.

Holosync utilizes a technology called Brainwave Entrainment. And in the 10+ months that I’ve been using the Holosync I can attest to its power as a personal development tool.

I’ve been so impressed that I decided to produce a CD to introduce this technology to others who are interested in it but don’t know how to get started.
We have all heard of the amazing and well-documented benefits of meditation. Psychology Today says this:

The brain waves of meditators show why they’re healthier. Neuroscientists have found that meditators shift their brain activity to different areas of the cortex—brain waves in the stress-prone right frontal cortex move to the calmer left frontal cortex. In other words, they were calmer and happier than before.

Unfortunately, many people have a difficult time experiencing these and other benefits because they have difficulty entering a deep, meditative state.

For most people, it can take years of dedicated, daily practice to achieve the level of meditation necessary to reap these life-changing benefits.

Brainwave Entrainment Technology has been extensively tested and scientifically proven to help even novice meditators achieve deep states of meditation quickly and easily!Even though I’ve been meditating on a regular basis for almost 10-years this brainwave entrainment technology has taken my meditation practice to levels I never thought I would reach!

And it can do the same for you.

Now if all of this is new to you and sounds a bit daunting, don’t worry: As I mentioned I have just produced a brand new CD that explains everything you need to know to get the most from this life-transforming technology and provides you with a powerful taste of this technology. The CD is: An Introduction to Brainwave Entrainment Technology for Personal Growth and Success.

This CD provides you with all the information you need to know about Brainwave Entrainment Technology as well as two brainwave entrainment sessions for you to experience the power of this technology and reap the benefits in your life!

The CD includes:

  • A 20-minute lecture explaining the basic science and technology (in easy-to-understand terms – I promise!) behind Brainwave Entrainment, how it works, as well as guidelines to get the most from this powerful technology.
  • A 22-minute guided visualization with embedded brainwave entrainment tones to help you attain a deep state of restorative relaxation in just 22-minutes.
  • A bonus, 30-minute non-guided brainwave entrainment meditation session for deep relaxation.

The entrainment technology on this CD is the very latest. It utilizes state-of-the-art entrainment technology that you can actually use without headphones! If you’ve worked with Holosync or other entrainment technologies, you know that you need to use headphones to experience the benefits of the technology.
Using one or both of the meditation sessions on this CD on a daily basis will increase your overall state of contentment and provide you with an effective tool for daily rejuvenation.

Pre-Release special – Save over 40%!

I just heard from the duplicators. The CDs are completed and are on their way. I’ll have them in my office tomorrow and will be shipping them to you on Monday!

Because it’s far more effective for me to ship out a lot of orders all at once (I’ve already got the packaging party setup) I’m offering a pre-release special between now and Monday morning.

The regular price for this CD is $16.95. Other brainwave entrainment CDs sell for $19.95 up to as much as $29.99 for a single CD! (The Holosync CDs sell for well over $100 each)!

Because I want to fulfill as many orders at possible all at once, if you place your order by 10:00am (pacific time) on Monday June 4th you’ll pay just $9.95 for your taste of this life-changing technology!

After that, the regular price is $16.95.

To order your copy now, go to:

If you have ever struggled to attain a quiet state of meditation this CD and this technology can help.

And even if you are a long-time, experienced meditator, brainwave entrainment can take your meditation practice to the next level.

Remember, order your copy before 10:00am (pacific time) on Monday, June 4th to save more than 40%.

Here’s the order page again.

And if you have any questions, use the contact form above to send me an email. I’ll be glad to answer any questions.

Mark Joyner Thinks A Diesel Engine Can Run On 50% Water!

I was just over at Mark Joyner’s site and found this incredibly interesting post about a potential new technology that could revolutionize the transportation industry. You probably know Mark from his Simpleology System. But what you may not know is that Mark is devoting a huge amount of time and resources to philanthropic efforts to promote, in Mark’s words, The Freedom of Humanity, through his Construct Zero.

Go check out this 8-minute video in which Mark investigates this water-based-fuel technology. It’s pretty amazing!

Is The Elite Retreat Internet Heaven Or The Leading Edge?

Wendy Piersall seems to think it’s Internet Heaven.

I think it might just be both!

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful time meeting with Wendy on Sunday afternoon as she was preparing to attend the Elite Retreat here in San Francisco. She was literally beaming. Gosh, I can’t imagine why!

Since spending a couple of hours with Wendy and getting to meet a few of the retreat instructors on Sunday I’ve known there was some tie into personal development that was just outside my grasp. And then I read Wendy’s post.

The idea of there being an Internet Heaven got me to thinking about the concept of the Leading Edge.

Yes, I’m sure Wendy’s correct that she’s in Internet Heaven!

But, I would also say that the Elite Retreat is a great example of how the internet, and bloggers, in particular, are coming together at the leading edge of thought.

Esther Hicks frequently says that those of us working with the Law of Attraction (and/or doing any serious personal development work) are living at the “leading edge of thought.”

At a live Abraham-Hicks, Law of Attraction seminar I attended last year, Esther also said this:

The Internet is the best example we’ve ever seen of the way Law of Attraction works in this universe.

It is so true! Nowhere else can you find everything you want to quickly and easily. And nowhere else does technology so quickly morph itself to accomodate the desires of the people using it.

Having the chance to meet and chat with a few of the Elite Retreat instructors on Sunday confirmed my belief that we are on the leading edge of thought.

It also got me thinking about the qualities that are often present at the Leading Edge.

Here are some of them:

The leading edge will always be occupied by caring and kind people:

Sure there are plenty of examples of grumpy or even downright mean leading edge thinkers. (Think of any of the “tortured artist” biographies and you’ll get what I mean). But, to me, the essence of a leading edge thinker is kindness.

Blogs are pretty transparent. It’s hard to hide your true nature if you’re writing on a regular basis. Many of you probably know Darren Rowse through his blogs and have come to respect him not just for the information he provides but also for the kindness and calm presence he exudes through his blogs. Well, I got to meet and have a quick chat with him just two short days after he had spent 14-hour flying in from Australia with his wife and 8-month old son. (I’ve flown 6-hours to the east coast with my daughter and needed two full days to recover from that!) But Darren, if anything, was even more calm and kind in person.

The leading edge will always be filled with young people:

It’s difficult for us old fogies to step fully onto the leading edge. We’ve got a lot of conditioning and faulty beliefs that prevent most of us from fully embracing the thoughts, experiences and technology of the leading edge.

Briefly meeting Neil Pattel (21 years old) and realizing that one of the most respected and admired folks in the world of Internet Marketing is exactly half my age, reminded me that the Internet is the domain of young folks. And they are clearly doing an incredible job of using it to reshape our culture. And that, in my opinion, is a great thing!

The leading edge will always have abundant thinkers willing to share their knowledge with others:

Leading edge thinkers want others to join them. Let’s face it, there are times when the leading edge can be quite lonely. Folks out on the leading edge want to help others so they’ll have more friends to play with!

The blogosphere itself is such an amazing example of how leading edge thinkers are helping others. But Kris Jones exemplified this principle in a conversation we had. It was crystal clear that he wanted to share his knowledge. I’ve been around a lot of successful (but not leading edge thinkers) who use their success as a shield or a trophy and certainly have no desire to share their knowledge. Not so with Kris (or any of these guys). He was fully present. And when he said, “I wish you could be here,” (at the Elite Retreat) I knew he meant it, not because of the money, but because he truly wants to see other people expand on their success and because he knows that he (and the other instructors) can do that!

The leading edge is no place for judgment:

One of the beautiful things about the Internet is that it totally levels the playing field. The opportunity to thrive on the Internet is the same for a everyone regardless of gender, skin color, nationality, etc. (I know that some of you will argue that the opportunity is not equal for someone without access to a computer. And you’re absolutely right).

If America was (is?) the land of opportunity, then the Internet must surely be the realm of limitless opportunity.

A few weeks ago, Wendy sent out an email to a few of her more active male readers asking us what we get from her Emoms-at-home. Why are we interested in information for emoms? Wendy’s information is equally valuable to emoms and edads, whether or not they work at home and leading edge thinkers don’t care where or from whom the information comes from as long as it is of value.

There are so many more characteristics of the leading edge. These are just a few that became obvious to me as I reviewed my time in SF with Wendy.

What are some other characteristics of leading edge thinkers? Leave your comments below and I’ll compile your thoughts into another post in a few days.
